When I was waiting for the ferry to arrive, I saw a single Mom taking pictures of her son with her LG camera phone. She is a professional photographer and gave me the following tips. She was telling me when taking a picture of your subject in this case her son straight on, try taking a picture at a three-quarter angle. For instance, she demonstrated by standing on top out of her car to take a picture of her son whose is less than 2 feet high. She jumped off the hood of her car and kneels on the ground and took a picture of her son at a three-quarter angle. She said that this is how professional photographers take pictures of BMWs to be added into architectural digest and other high-end magazines. This tip can work for any object or subject. If you’re taking a picture of someone across the street with your iPhone or LG camera phone, get a little closer to your object.
