FIRST IN 4G: Sprint Unveils the HTC Evo
Get ready because this could quite possibly be the best phone released to date. Everything that is being said about the HTC Evo phone is giving Sprint a much needed boost in the cell phone version of an arms race. It’s going to do for Sprint what the iPhone did for AT&T. From Hardware to operating system, there is nothing in sight that is able to compare to this phone.
It runs on Sprint’s WiMax 4G network which can provide download speeds of around 10 Mbps and uploads of 1 Mbps. This is multiple times faster then the current 3G Network. Also the phone is a mobile hotspot where up to 8 devices can connect to it. You’re going to be able to stream HD video from the phone to an HDTV! The Evo even has a built in kick stand so you can prop up your phone at the right angle and just kick back and enjoy the HD streaming quality on its 4.3-inch screen (480×800 TFT LCD). This is all going to be run on the amazingly responsive Android 2.1 operating system. I’m ready to trash my outdated sony cybershot because the HTC Evo has an 8mp camera, my outdated cybershot only has 6. It also features dual flash and HD video recording capability of up to 720p.![]()
Send Dan Hesse my regards, I’m going to be skipping on lattes and pinching my pennies hard to get ready for the hefty price tag that is going to be coming along with this amazing phone, or should I say tablet?
